Presenting a professional image is the first step in setting up Autopilot. This is done by fully branding your Tap Inspect account with your User and Company Profile information.
This is the first step of getting Autopilot up and running in your account.
- Step 1: Complete Your User and Company Profiles
- Step 2: Take the Autopilot Quick Tour
- Step 3: Setup Your First Service
- Step 4: Next Steps to Customize Autopilot
Nothing says amateur like displaying an incomplete or incorrect profile to your clients and agents. Your reports, messages, client portal, invoices, and agreements all use the information from your User and Company Profiles to provide your branding. In this step you will verify the information is complete and is ready for Autopilot to use.
About Your User Profile
Your User Profile describes you as an individual in Tap Inspect and to your clients. Be sure to complete your User Profile as fully as possible. Keep in mind that when your first or last name is used as a replacement tag value in other places by Autopilot it will use the exact same information that you enter here. Avoid using unrelated information when possible.
Also, pay close attention to the Timezone setting in your User Profile. We do our best to set it for you based on your location but a best practice is to verify it is correct. Otherwise the times presented to your clients and agent may not be correct.
About Your Company Profile
Your Company Profile describes your business and how to contact you. Be sure to complete your Company Profile as fully and as accurately as possible.
Keep in mind that if you put unrelated information in a labeled field you may see that information displayed strangely by a replacement tag value. One example of this could be if you added a license number or professional organization name in an Address field of your Contact Information. That license number or professional organization name would be displayed in the client portal or invoice where the company address is displayed. That may not be the behavior your expect.
Company Signature
The Company Signature is your Tap Inspect email signature. It is added to every automated message that we send to your client or agents in Autopilot. We have added a default signature for you using replacement tag values but it can be edited and customized by you.
Now that your profiles and business branding is all set, let's move on to Step 2: Take the Autopilot Quick Tour.
