You understand the basics, your first service have been set up, and Autopilot has been enabled for your account.
For most home inspectors you are probably done. If you just do home inspections you may need to tweak the agreement you are using and the pricing for your Residential Home Inspection service but that is about it.
If your inspection business is a little more complicated you will want to start preparing for the next steps of customizing Autopilot for your business.
This is the last step of getting Autopilot up and running in your account.

Dial In Your Residential Home Inspection Service
When you were doing Step 3: Setup Your First Service, you may not have completely dialed in your Residential Home Inspection service. Now is the time to take another look and start adjusting it to fit your way of doing business.
Edit Your Agreement
If you added the Sample Home Inspection Agreement to your Residential Home Inspection service you will want to review and edit the agreement to make sure it meets you local requirements and you fully understand what is in it. Since the agreement is already added to your service you will see your edited agreement in the next job that uses the service.
Instead you may want to add your own agreement or an agreement from another source to your account. Just be sure to go back and add the new agreement to use your Residential Home Inspection service.
Finalize Your Pricing
We added the most common price calculator for you when you set up your Residential Home Inspection service. Now is the time to adjust it to your local market.
Go to your Services settings and tap on Residential Home Inspection to edit it.
The most common adjustment is the Base Price. This small change is all most home inspectors need to make. Simply change it to the minimum price that you would charge.
You have the ability to make your pricing as complicated as you like by using multiple price calculators but we do not recommend it. We have found that the simpler your pricing is the faster you can book the job.
Add Your Other Primary and Add On Services
Most home inspectors will only offer a Residential Home Inspection service. Others will offer a wide variety of services to their clients. Each service you offer will need to be added to Autopilot so you can select from the list of services when you are booking a job. Each service you select for a job shows up as a line item on the invoice.
Setting up and dialing in the Residential Home Inspection service should have given you a pretty good idea of what makes up a service and how they work. Now it is time to start adding yours.
We think of primary services as the main services buyers call you to provide. These are the main reason you at the property. They could be Commercial Inspections, Multifamily Inspections, New Home Inspections, or some other type of service.
You will typically have an agreement specific to this service, provide a report based on template for this service, and the pricing may be variable based on the specifics of the property for the service.
Add On Services
These are not usually the primary service buyers call you to perform but they are commonly done at the same visit as the primary service. Some of the more common add on services are: Radon testing, water testing, sewer scope, pest inspection, etc.
You may not have an agreement for an add on service, or deliver a Tap inspect report for an add on service so you can leave them empty in your Autopilot service. Most add on services also have fixed base price.
Enable Sales Taxes if Needed
Sales Taxes are built into the Invoicing feature of Autopilot. Once enabled, Autopilot will automatically add sales taxes to your invoices.
Multiple tax rates can be defined in your account and each service can be adjusted to use the default rate, several rates, or not be taxed at all.
Get Paid Online With Tap Inspect Payments
