Messaging lets you automatically send messages to the people involved in a job at key points throughout a job.
Where to Find and Edit Messages
You can view and edit your automated messages on the Messaging settings page in your Tap Inspect web account.
To learn how to customize when a message is sent, who receives it, and what it says, see Edit a Message.
When Messages are Sent
Messages are sent automatically when certain events occur in the lifecycle of a job.
The Sharing section of the Messaging settings is included in every Tap Inspect account and serves as a good example of how Messaging works overall. In this context, Sharing refers to sharing job results or attachments with clients and other people on a job.
The Sharing section of the Messaging page is present in every account. More sections are present if you are using the Autopilot back office features. These sections follow the same general structure and editing options as Sharing Messages.
The default Sharing messages work well for most people. As a best practice, you want to use them for a bit before making any changes.
Default Sharing Messages
There are three Sharing messages. Each message is sent to every person on the job who access to view reports when the corresponding sharing event occurs.
- Results Available: Sent when you initially share the results of a job.
- Results Updated: Sent when you tap Share Updated Results from the Share tab of a previously shared job.
- New Attachment Added: Sent when an attachment (such as radon or lab results) is added to a job after it has been shared.
All Messaging sections use the same editing options. For details on editing a message, see Edit a Message.
