The Edit Message page allows you to control when a message is sent, who receives it, and what the message says. All Messaging sections—such as Sharing Messages, Scheduled Messages, and Autopilot messages—use the same Edit Message layout and options.
To open, go to the Messaging page of your web account and tap on any message.
Message Information
The Edit Message page defines the content and behavior of the message. Changes made here apply to future messages and do not affect messages that were previously sent
Enabled
Use the Enabled toggle to turn a message on or off. Disabling a message prevents it from being sent without deleting its configuration.
Trigger
The Trigger determines the event that causes the message to be sent (for example, Results Available). Triggers are tied to job activity and vary depending on the message section.
Triggers control when a message is sent. Learn more in About Message Triggers.
Deliver To
Use Deliver To to control who receives the message:
Everyone With Access, or
Only specific roles on the job (such as Agent or Client)
Also CC To
If you want a specific email address to receive this message every time it is sent—such as a third-party vendor—you can enter it in the Also CC To field.
Message Content
Use the Subject and Body fields to define the message content.
Subject
The subject line can include job-specific values using placeholders from the Insert Values menu. These placeholders must be manually typed or pasted into the subject field.
Example:
Inspection results for {{job.inspection_address}}Body
The message body supports formatting and job-specific placeholders.
Place your cursor in the message body
Select Insert Values
Choose the job value you want to insert
These placeholders are automatically replaced with real job data when the message is sent.
Best practice:
Use {{recipient.full_name}} instead of role-based placeholders to ensure messages work correctly regardless of who receives them.
Formatting and Preview
Use the formatting toolbar to style text, insert links, or switch to the HTML Editor for advanced customization.
Select Show Preview to see how the message will appear to recipients before saving your changes
Email Signatures
Emails automatically include the organization signature defined in your Company Profile.
For Team accounts, messages can optionally be signed with the inspector’s signature instead of the company signature.
