If you've turned off Include Images In The Report Summary but photos are still showing in your report summary, you're not doing anything wrong. That option only applies to one report format: the Full Report PDF.
You'll find this option on the PDF Report Summary screen in Report Options:
How photos appear in the report summary of each format
| Report format | Photos in the report summary |
|---|---|
| Full Report PDF | Your choice. Controlled by Include Images In The Report Summary. |
| Report Summary PDF | Always included |
| Web report (client portal) | Always included |
Why it works this way
The Full Report PDF includes the entire report, so every photo already appears in the body. Leaving photos out of its summary keeps the PDF shorter and avoids showing the same photos twice.
The Report Summary PDF and the web report summary are often the only parts of the report a client or agent reads closely. The photos are what make each issue easy to understand and act on, so they're always included there.
Need a summary without photos?
If you need a summary without photos (for example, for a licensing application), you can use the Full Report PDF:
- Open the job and select Edit in the top right corner of the Inspect tab.
- Tap Report Options.
- Tap PDF Report Summary, then select Beginning Of Report under Location of Report Summary.
- Make sure Include Images In The Report Summary is unchecked.
-
Download the report and choose Download Full Report (not Download Report Summary Only).
- Keep only the cover page and summary pages using your PDF viewer's print-to-PDF or page extract feature.
To make this the default for future reports, make the same change in your template under Manage Templates.
