The View All Report Comments screen allows you to manage all of the comments in a report from a single place. This eliminates the need to drill down into each section and item to proofread or edit each comment.
The View All Report Comment screen provides three tools to help proofread and manage the comments of the report.
- View and edit every comment in a report from a single place.
- Delete or rearrange the order of the comments in their group.
- Add a new general comment that does not fit into any section or item of the report.
To open the View All Report Comments screen tap View All Report Comments on the Inspect tab of a job.
The comments are listed in the same order as in the body of the report. A heading is also displayed about each group of comments listing the section, the subsection, or the item the comment was added to.
Edit any Comment
Tap on any comment to open it in the comment editor to edit the comment. You can change the comment type, comment text, and edit the photo collection just like if you were in that location of the checklist of the report.
Delete or Reorder a list of Comments
Tap on Edit in the top right corner of the Inspect tab screen to switch into the edit mode of the report. This lets you tap the red circle to delete a comment or rearrange the order of comments within their group of comments. Tap Done to return to the data entry mode of the report.
You can not move a comment from one section or item to another place in your report. Only rearrange the order in the same group.
Add a New General Comment
There is an Add Comment button on the View All Reports Comments screen. Adding a new comment from here works just like adding a comment anywhere else in your reports with one difference. Comments added from the View All Report Comments screen are added to a new special section named General Comments. This section will be displayed before your other report sections in your client facing report.
