Autopilot provides more messaging power than our default messaging system. When Autopilot is enabled, you get more triggers, timing controls, replacement tags, and the ability to use SMS texting in addition to email.
More Messaging Triggers
With basic messaging, messages are sent when certain events occur (like when you share results)
Autopilot expands that by letting you send automated messages at many points in a job’s lifecycle, including:
- When a job is confirmed
- Before the inspection
- After the inspection
- After the report is available
- Relative to those events (e.g., “2 days before inspection”)
You can schedule messages to send before or after most of these triggers, giving you control over timing and frequency.
Email and SMS Support
Autopilot lets you send messages by:
- SMS text messages (optional, fully integrated)
SMS texting gives you another way to reach clients and agents instantly, right from Autopilot workflows
About Replacement Tags
Replacement tags are placeholders you can insert into your message templates so Autopilot automatically fills in job‑specific information when a message is sent. They make your messages personalized without manual editing.
Common replacement tags include:
- Client name
- Job address
- Inspection date/time
- Inspector name
- Company contact details
When you edit a message, you can choose from a list of available tags and insert them into the subject or body. These tags are replaced with the actual values for each message when it’s sent
Where to Edit Your Messages
You can view and customize all Autopilot messages from the Settings menu of your web account.
- On each message, you can:
- Choose when it sends
- Pick the recipients
- Add replacement tags
