The Tap Inspect mobile app will synchronize in the background with your web account about every five minutes while you are using the app and connected to the internet.
This synchronization makes sure all the report data and photos on your device have been uploaded to your web account on our servers. It also allows your device to pull any report data or photos created or edited on another device connected to your account.
Sometimes, especially with Wi-Fi devices, you will want to synchronize your device manually.
To manually synchronize your device from the Jobs Dashboard, follow these steps.
- Open the mobile app and go to the Jobs Dashboard.
- Tap the curved arrow in the top right corner of the screen.
- start synchronization.
- Release your finger when the downward arrow turns upward.
An orange progress bar will display as the app synchronizes. It can take several minutes if you have been using a Wi-Fi device and have lots of photos.
The mobile app can also be manually synchronized from inside a job. This can be done on the Schedule and Inspect tabs of a Job.
To manually synchronize your device from the Schedule or the Inspect tab of a Job, follow these steps.
- Put your finger on the screen below and drag it down. (Pull down on the blue section list of the Inspect tab on iPad.)
- Release your finger when the downward arrow turns upward.
A progress bar will display as the app synchronizes. It can take several minutes if you have been using a Wi-Fi device and have lots of photos. The app will display Synchronization Complete when completed.
