How can I record the make, model and serial numbers of equipment?

We left off the make, model, serial number, BTU, wattage and other information on various home equipment in the Basic Home Inspection template because we found that home buyers weren't interested in many of those details.

As a general rule, in our reports, we create a comment with a photo of the equipment and a close up of the data plate to record this data for future reference. 

The Detailed Home Inspection template does include this level of data entry and may come in handy if you would rather type the information so it can be copied and pasted later.
