No report checklist will be complete enough to describe every property you inspect. Tap Inspect solves that problem giving your the flexibility to show and hide report elements like sections, subsections, and items as you need them for a specific job.
Once you learn how to show and hide report elements you will be able to adapt your report checklist to any property you inspect.
Report Edit Mode
To use the ability to show or hide report elements you need to enter edit mode of the report. This is a special mode that allows you change the structure and options of this specific report. Once you have made the changes you exit edit mode and return to data entry mode of the report.
Show Elements You Need
Many inspectors like to record every bathroom of the property in a separate section. Some of our default templates include a total of five bathrooms but only three are visible by default. It is simple to show a hidden bathroom when you need it.
Hide Elements You Don't Need
There are some elements that are great to record when they are present like a crawlspace or a garage. What is the best practice when they are not present at the property you are inspecting?
Hide visible report elements you don't need and they will not be displayed in that specific report.
Duplicate Elements When You Need Another
If you are on a job and you need to record another bathroom, or garage, of HVAC system you can duplicate an existing report element. Add as many as you need to record your observations.
